About The Position

As a Communications Intern at United Launch Alliance you'll gain hands-on experience and will have the opportunity to manage communications outreach, working in the Strategic Branding & Communications organization. You will align with ULA’s launch operations in Cape Canaveral, FL to support external communications and social content covering launch activities. Interns will support one or more experienced business professionals in performance of assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as experience the day-to-day workings of the business side of the aerospace industry. Interns may perform and/or participate in additional activities/events which help them build a strong network within the ULA community and with fellow interns.

Requirements

  • Completed Sophomore year of college or university by the time of the summer internship assignment.
  • Minimum college GPA of 2.90 on a 4.00 scale at the time of application.
  • Valid driver’s license and motorized vehicle transportation if assigned an internship in Alabama, California, Florida, or Pueblo, Colorado.
  • Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or relevant field.
  • Plans to be enrolled in classes during Fall Semester 2026.
  • Ability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer of 2026.
  • Familiarity with AP Style.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Effective presentation, written communication, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage communications outreach in the Strategic Branding & Communications organization.

  • Shadow experienced business professionals and assist in assignments.
  • Participate in activities/events to build a network within the ULA community.
