About The Position

The Communications Intern at Pennsy Supply will engage in a 10-12 week internship, applying academic knowledge to real-world business objectives. The role offers exposure to various business lines and work environments, with responsibilities centered around communications and marketing support.

Requirements

• An incoming junior or senior pursuing a degree in English, Communication, Marketing, or other related area.
• 3.0 GPA or higher.
• Demonstration of outstanding verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Great attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud or other design software, as well as Microsoft products including Word, Excel, Windows, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Mobility to attend various meetings and events at offsite locations.
• Must submit to a drug screen and criminal background check.
• Ability to travel with a current driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Support communication and marketing requests from all lines of business.
• Assist Communications and Training Manager with the creation of content for social media platforms and mobile applications.
• Assist in the creation of employee recognition communications.
• Support the Community Giving Committee and program process.
• Create graphics for digital signage and advertisements.
• Complete special communication projects throughout the summer as assigned by the Communications and Training Manager.
• Provide general support on projects and tasks as needed.
