The Illinois State Police (ISP) are seeking to fill the role of Communications Equipment Technician I to support ISP operations by installing, maintaining, and repairing mobile, portable, and base‑station two‑way radios, antenna systems, and related equipment. The position tests, repairs, and certifies electronic speed‑measuring devices such as radar and LIDAR; maintains and repairs emergency power generators and audio/video recording systems; and assists with routine maintenance and installation of microwave transceivers and multiplex equipment.
