Communications Coordinator

About The Position

Position Overview: Support communications for The Children’s Village and CV Management Services, including internal communications, social media platforms, website updates, and digital marketing initiatives. This role also assists with select special events and other communications needs as they arise.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree with coursework in marketing, communications, social media/website or similar with 1-3 years’ experience in marketing, public relations, and/or social media is preferred. Candidates may also have a HS degree with 5+years of experience in marketing, communications, or social media, or an AA with 3-5 years experiences in marketing, communications or social media.
Experience developing and using social media platforms and web management; including creating content and tracking data metrics required.
Basic web design knowledge with WordPress or a similar program required.
Experience collaborating with designers and video producers.
Clear interviewing and story-gathering skills with deep empathy and respect for community voices.
Strong project and workflow management skills; able to coordinate across many teams.
Proven ability to own deadlines and produce high-quality work with minimal oversight.
Solid understanding of digital strategies and best practices across email, SMS, web, and paid media.
Database management, Microsoft Office applications required.
Experience with Canva, Adobe Express, basic Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop).
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Excellent writing and editing skills with an eye for detail and the ability to develop fresh, compelling digital content.
Experience with Google Ads, Meta Business Suite/Ads Manager (basic or willingness to train).
Availability to work a flexible schedule (nights and weekends) and travel to events on occasion.
Valid Driver’s license and willingness to travel to and work in various NYC locations periodically.
