New England Innovation Academy is seeking a highly motivated Communications Coordinator to join our marketing content team. This individual will manage all internal and external communications and databases for the school. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, design skills, and experience with Blackbaud content management systems. NEIA employees are expected to embody NEIA's principles of empathy, equity, personalization, authentic work, and collaboration in all work activities and actions. The Communications Coordinator will partner with the Head of Enrollment, Interim Head of School, and Director of Strategic Marketing to develop and execute communication strategies for the school. This role will also involve collaborating with the Head of Collaborations on auxiliary and summer programming communication strategies. The coordinator will create and manage the school's internal and external communications, ensuring that all materials reflect NEIA's brand and messaging consistently. This includes emails, newsletters, flyers, presentations, and other promotional materials. In addition, the Communications Coordinator will manage and maintain the school's database and email communications, ensuring timely and effective communications with students, parents, and staff through various channels. The role requires collaboration with different departments to gather and disseminate important information, as well as working with senior leadership to publish an annual calendar and keep events updated in the Blackbaud system. The coordinator will also collaborate with the Digital Content Manager to develop social media campaigns to enhance the school's online presence and communication engagement. Staying up-to-date with industry developments and trends is essential, as is planning, creating, coordinating, and disseminating communications for NEIA. The coordinator will promote school events through various communication channels, coordinate with event organizers for effective communication and publicity, and gather information for the school's newsletter, The Beat, and the Daily Bulletin. Building and maintaining positive relationships with community stakeholders and representing the school at community events are also key responsibilities. The Communications Coordinator will partner with the Designer in Residence & Director of Branding to ensure the integrity and consistency of NEIA's editorial and visual brand and design standards. Additionally, the coordinator will support the Director of Strategic Marketing with crisis communication, helping to develop and implement crisis communication plans and serving as the point of contact for media during crises, ensuring accurate and timely information dissemination.
