We are seeking an individual gifted with creativity and organizational skills who can be trusted with a variety of responsibilities for the communications ministry of Spanish River Church, Spanish River Counseling Center, and Spanish River Church Planting. Every task accelerates the mission of Spanish River Church to share the love of Jesus in word, deed, and sign. This position requires a strong work ethic, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. A pre-employment drug screening is required for all candidates offered employment. The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for managing social media platforms, providing support for the church's app and website, and assisting with email marketing efforts. The role also includes proofreading all written content produced by the Communications Department, keeping stakeholders informed with regular updates on project status, and managing the printing of various communications projects. Additionally, the coordinator will organize sermon, photo, podcast, and file storage, and provide administrative support including calendar management, travel facilitation, expense report processing, and correspondence with the congregation. The ideal candidate will evaluate emerging technology and keep track of marketing trends to effectively target demographics. They will assist in maintaining brand consistency across all communication channels, write engaging and clear copy, and support Communications Department volunteers. The coordinator will also collect analytics to inform strategy and content development, improve search engine rankings to drive increased organic traffic, and create content to promote events, ministries, teaching series, campaigns, and the mission of Spanish River Church. Ad hoc duties may also be assigned as needed, ensuring all necessary resources are available for projects.
