Requirements

  • Three (3) years’ experience maintaining MODCOMP, UNIX and Windows computer systems.
  • Two years supervisory experience in computer maintenance.
  • Three years PARCS, SSPARS, or similar Phased Array radar systems experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational or equivalent training in electronics, computer repair.
  • Maintain certifications as described in DoD 8570.01-M.
  • Successful completion of Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification.
  • Knowledge/experience of DoD Information Assurance requirements/processes is preferred.
  • Complete Block I (Gen Supply Function), Block IIA (Bench Stock Management), IIB (Repair Cycle) & Block III (Equipment Custodian) and Item Unique Identification (IUID) Training.
  • Complete Honeywell Vindicator Command and Control (VCC) V5 Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and Access Control System (ACS) certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance, both scheduled and unscheduled, on equipment/off equipment, servicing, alignment, modification, testing, inspection, repair and overhaul of all data processing and associated equipment.
  • Applies comprehensive technical troubleshooting techniques in analog and digital electronics, solid-state principles, logic and diagnostic routines to test, troubleshoot, repair, modify, install, adjust and maintain complex special-purpose electronic, electromechanical, components and built-in test equipment.
  • Utilizes various types of test equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
  • Performs other various duties and assignments as directed by the Mission Operations Group Manager/Deputy Program Manager.
  • Submits system outage reports, updates Equipment Status Reports and enters reportable equipment into the Integrated Maintenance Data Systems (IMDS) database.
  • Performs computer operations, maintenance, diagnostics, alignments, and modifications to computers, servers, and various types of network equipment.
  • Responds to and initiates resolution for all network-related trouble tickets within 24 hours of outage.
  • Provides Boundary Management/Protection and reports vulnerabilities to Air Force Information Network (AFIN) Mission Assurance Center (AMAC).
  • Implements Information Condition (INFOCON) procedures and Notice to Airmen (NOTAMs) as directed by the Government.
  • Submits proposed changes management to the appropriate ISSM for review and approval.
  • Provides oversight for Computer Security (COMPUSEC) matters.
  • Corrects all EMSEC deficiencies within 30 calendar days after identified by an EMSEC inspection.
  • Manages the Secure Telephone Equipment (STE) and re-keys or reissues STE keys as required within one business day.
  • Ensures crypto keying and control, performs and documents COMSEC self-inspections.
  • Conducts required security reviews of all RMF security controls and required testing of the security controls as directed by the ISSM.
  • Establishes, manages, and tracks all network user accounts.
  • Reports and submits system security incidents, virus attacks, classified message incidents, and identifies threats, vulnerabilities, and associated countermeasures.
  • Monitors the operations and maintains the Base Telephone System.
  • Responds to outages and begins restoration of mission-critical communication services within two hours of notification.
  • Maintains trouble reports using a Government-provided ticketing and resolution database.
