The Associated Press seeks a talented writer and digital communicator to join its corporate communications team. This is a hybrid role based in AP's global headquarters in New York. The Communications Associate reports to the Internal Communications Manager and plays an integral part in keeping AP staff around the globe informed about company news, corporate strategy and personnel announcements and produces engaging original content in all formats (video, text, graphics and photos). With staff in nearly 250 locations in about 100 countries, AP is the definitive source for fact-based, nonpartisan journalism. It will be the job of the communications associate to highlight staff successes and celebrate their achievements in a variety of formats and ensure that our global staff has access to the information and tools they need to thrive and feel connected to the AP and each other. In one day, you could be writing about a new team of journalists covering the Middle East, gathering photographs from AP photographers covering the Olympics, assisting with a communications plan for the rollout of a new HR product and running an interactive Zoom meeting connecting colleagues from across the globe.
