The position involves overseeing and managing the operational priorities for in-house and contracted construction management infrastructure. The role requires a strong background in telecommunications installation and maintenance, as well as project management experience. The individual will be responsible for developing project scopes, managing budgets, and ensuring that project timelines are met. Additionally, the position requires coordination with various stakeholders, including vendors and internal departments, to ensure successful project execution.

  • Develops and drives the operational priorities for in house and contracted construction management infrastructure.
  • Obtains quotes and creates requests for proposal.
  • Manages the fiber, microwave, and infrastructure construction.
  • Develops scope of work and provides recommendations on the architecture.
  • Prepares risk assessments and mitigation planning.
  • Provides project and communication plans and updates.
  • Prepares, develops, and controls budget.
  • Ensures project timelines are met and communicates regarding the status of milestones and change control issues.
  • Manages Fiber, Tower, and Infrastructure ROW acquisitions, inspections, audits, new site construction, installations, and commissioning.
  • Provides coordination across daily project meetings.
  • Acts as a liaison between NTUA, vendor community, NTUA Sales, and NTUA Operations.
  • Develops and provides Construction Quotes to NTUA Sales.
  • Develops NTUA Data Services Pricing based on cost and materials.
  • Manages the strategic and tactical elements of projects.
  • Performs escalation within NTUA, vendors, and contractors as needed.
  • Serves as subject matter expert and assumes responsibility for the technical content of the project.
  • Keeps leadership and other departments informed of the status of program activities by attending meetings and submitting reports.
  • Oversees special reports in response to internal and external requests to provide accessible data for reliable analysis, management review, research purposes, and/or reporting requirements.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by conducting research, attending seminars, educational workshops, classes, and conferences, reviewing professional publications, establishing networks, participating in professional societies, and conferring with representatives of contracting agencies and related organizations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • Valid Driver's License (subject to motor vehicle review).
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, Project Management, IT or a related field.
  • Project Management Certification preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in telecommunications installation and maintenance, computer systems, Tier-1 telecommunication customers, and project management experience.
