Team Overview: Impinj is seeking a Communication Systems Engineering Intern specializing in signal processing to join our Systems Engineering team . This role will work closely with hardware, software, and test engineering teams . In this position, you will help model and develop methods for improving signal detection while work ing on the Impinj R700 RAIN RFID reader .

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field
  • 1-3+ years of relevant coursework in Linear Systems, Probability, Digital Communications, and/or Digital Signal Processing
  • Experience programming, scripting, and analysis in languages like MATLAB, Python, or C
  • Clear communication skills and ability to document technical information for a variety of intended audiences

Responsibilities

  • Characterize RF System performance of the Impinj R700 under various operating points
  • Implement test and analysis tools using Python
  • Design and test a signal detection mechanism for improved reader performanc e
