About The Position
Public Consulting Group LLC (PCG) is seeking a Communications Specialist to join our Human Services Practice Area. This role is pivotal in supporting stakeholder outreach, communications, and marketing activities for state government Human Services clients. The Communications Specialist will collaborate with other members of the communications team to create and deliver effective, meaningful communications tailored to our clients' audiences. The position requires a blend of creative thinking, technical proficiency, and excellent communication skills. While experience with government agencies and health and human services organizations is preferred, it is not essential. The Communications Specialist will be responsible for creating and delivering communications content across various channels, including emails, web content, and social media, in alignment with client communications strategies and stakeholder outreach plans. This role involves identifying the communication needs of specific audiences and recommending strategies to meet those needs. The Specialist will also help coordinate project-related correspondence, surveys, and results, reporting to management as appropriate. Writing and editing support for client-related deliverables will be a key part of the job, as well as collaborating effectively with other team members, including designers and project managers, to implement creative solutions for clients. In addition, the Specialist will manage marketing programs, which include content creation, audience list management, delivery schedules, and data analysis to track success levels and guide data-driven decisions. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality deliverables is essential. The role also requires preparation for and support during internal and external project-related meetings. This position is remote, allowing for flexibility in work hours, but candidates must be available during set working hours and maintain a safe, private, and distraction-free work environment. Some travel to PCG and client sites may be required for team and client meetings.
