SBCS (formerly South Bay Community Services) transforms communities to support the well-being and prosperity of children, youth, and families. For more than 50 years, we’ve worked throughout San Diego to provide safe shelter, transitional housing, intervention prevention programs, mental health support, and many other services that meet the ever-changing needs of our communities. The Communication Social Media Volunteer will support SBCS’s outreach and engagement efforts by assisting with content creation, social media management, and general communications. The ideal candidate must have experience in social media campaigns, graphic design skills, and experience creating collateral flyers. This role also requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and must have the ability to maintain professionalism. Some projects may be conducted off-site and may include client interviews and filming, so experience in those areas is a plus. The candidate must demonstrate friendly demeanor, have the desire to serve others, and enjoy working as part of a team and interacting with the community. This is ideal for candidates interested in marketing, communications, and social media management who want hands-on experience in a mission-driven organization.
