The Communications Officer provides non- emergency and emergency communication through professional and positive interaction with the public, students, employees and administrators. Receives a variety of calls and provides assistance in emergency and non-emergency situations, monitors various alarm systems, infant abduction systems and radio communication. Dispatches both electronically and via radio the appropriate personnel to emergent and general calls for service. Documents crimes and incidents as they are reported or occur. Performs electronic surveillance as directed to insure the protection of the public, students, employees and property of LLUH or others. Performs other duties as needed.
