Contribute to Viatalants life-saving mission by supervising and coordinating media, public relations, crisis communications, government affairs, special event planning, and volunteer management. These efforts are directed toward achieving the organization's annual collection goals. Oversee the communication in the assigned region, providing feedback as a part of the national communications strategy. Cultivate and nurture relationships with the media to facilitate organization's media and public relations objectives. Serve as a primary spokesperson and coordinate media contact and communications with other spokespersons in the organization as appropriate. Recruit, develop and leverage community-based committees and contacts to assist with awareness, networking, outreach, and collaboration. Manage events for donor and coordinator recognition, and blood donation events.
