About the position

The Communication Content Developer is responsible for designing and maintaining our internal company intranet site and communication platform, using our content management systems to write news articles and distribute the company newsletter. This position will develop engaging, efficient, effective, and empowering content. The job requires a high level of creative writing and web content design with attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Write and publish news articles for internal communications
  • Prepare and distribute the company newsletter weekly
  • Manage day-to-day content updates and maintenance of WOW!'s intranet site
  • Create informative, engaging, and entertaining content for a variety of internal and external audiences
  • Contribute to the optimal design and usability of WOW!'s intranet
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of intranet problems
  • Explore the potential of new technologies to meet business needs
  • Support greater corporate communications team in regular company communication vehicles
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant business field
  • 2-3 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Background in journalism or digital marketing is a plus
  • Strong writing skills with a reporter's instinct for identifying news stories
  • Ability to edit written material and produced content with few errors
  • Proven experience leading and meeting content needs from start to finish
  • Ability to develop written content, graphics, presentations, videos, web pages, and other media/visual materials
  • Proficiency in collecting and interpreting website analytics
  • Efficiently multitask and effectively manage time to meet all deadlines
  • Demonstrated success soliciting and incorporating feedback to produce communication materials that meet the needs of customers and specific audiences
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, visual and listening)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Superb organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate across departments and with all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to analyze problems and reach a resolution in a timely manner
  • Excellent technology skills with basic knowledge of web design
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office applications including SharePoint, Teams, Outlook
  • Experience in HTML and Adobe Photoshop as required
