About The Position

Human Active Technology (HAT) is seeking a Commodity Manager to take ownership of sourcing and procurement for key commodities that fuel our business. In this role, you’ll shape our global supply chain, qualify and manage supplier relationships, and create strategies that balance quality, cost, delivery, and sustainability. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of sourcing/procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with at least two commodity categories (plastics, metals, electronic/electro-mechanical, hardware, packaging).
  • Proven success with both domestic and international sourcing.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Familiarity with technical drawings and product specifications.
  • ERP and MS Office proficiency with strong data analysis skills.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Analytical problem-solver with a proactive, independent approach.

Responsibilities

  • Influencing and executing global sourcing strategies to support both operational and new product requirements.
  • Leading the assessment, selection, and development of suppliers, both domestic and international.
  • Negotiating agreements and managing supplier performance to meet cost, quality, and delivery goals.
  • Managing procurement activities in the ERP system, including purchase orders, materials requirements, and supplier records.
  • Collaborating with engineering, quality, finance, and operations teams to resolve issues, support new product development, and drive process improvements.
  • Developing strategies to reduce sourcing risks and strengthen supplier readiness.
  • Traveling up to 15% domestically and internationally to support supplier development.
