Shift: The regular hours for this position are day shift. FormFactor is seeking an experienced Commodity Buyer to join our team in Farmers Branch. This strategic role will be responsible for sourcing and managing high-value goods, services, and capital equipment essential to our manufacturing and operations. This position will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, finance, and facilities teams to ensure cost-efficiency, quality, and timely delivery. This is a high-impact position with a strong focus on supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for purchasing and managing the supply of goods, services, and high-value, long-term assets like specialized equipment essential for sites manufacturing and operations.
• Strong emphasis on supplier evaluation and negotiation, contract management, and cost analysis to ensure purchases align with budget and operational needs.
• Develop and execute strategies for acquiring high-value equipment, services and other goods.
• Lead and support negotiations for price, timing, and deliverables ensuring the best value for the organization.
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, facilities and other teams to understand specifications, assess technical requirements and ensure alignment with company goals.
• Administer the full purchase order lifecycle including issuing, reconciling and resolving issues with suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance, gather metrics, and resolve disputes to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Travel may be required (local, domestic, and international).
