Applied Materials Global Sourcing and Procurement (GSP) is a global support organization that enables the purchasing of the indirect goods, services, and contingent workforce required for Applied Materials to operate smoothly and support our end customers. Building an effective Category Management and Stakeholder Engagement program is critical to GSP growth and evolution into a strategic business-aligned enablement function. As a Commodity Business Manager (CBM), you will be a part of GSP's Sourcing & Category Management Organization. You will lead and execute all aspects of the category management and sourcing process, including opportunity assessments, negotiations, RFx, supplier relationship and risk management for the Facilities Management Services (including facilities equipment and small projects) and Real Estate categories. You will partner with stakeholders to develop 1-, 3- and 5-year strategies around Applied Material's vision and supplier partnerships. You will make recommendations and provide guidance based upon your deep category insight for the assigned commodities. You will partner with stakeholders to establish a global Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) program and manage the program and suppliers ongoing. You will be a part of a global team supporting Applied Material's multibillion-dollar R&D platform to accelerate semiconductor innovation. You will learn Applied Material's overall businesses and become a trusted advisor to partner with and guide our internal customers in their sourcing decisions. You should understand markets, the supply chain, and how the company business works to ensure that risks are mitigated and make sure the company survives extreme volatility in commodities. You will perform detailed spend analysis and study trends to identify and solve potential supply chain problems and continually seek new opportunities for innovation.
