The Electrical Commissioning Technician 2 assists in basic testing, maintenance, and installation of electrical equipment under close supervision. This role involves supporting more experienced technicians while gaining foundational knowledge and skills necessary for progression.

Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma with three years of experience, or a combination of equivalent experience and training.
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug test
  • Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational school or education training is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in testing and maintenance of site/field equipment.
  • Support the installation, rearrangement, and removal of equipment and associated wiring.
  • Perform basic testing, moving, and adjustments of equipment.
  • Assist in field construction inspection to ensure compliance with NETA specifications and plans.
  • Maintain records and report inspection activities.
  • Understand and apply basic knowledge of mathematics, engineering measuring devices, and safety procedures (including LOTO).
  • Prep equipment for testing as directed by the commissioning lead.
  • Assist in the operation of load banks and equipment with proper PPE.
  • Participate in Operational Risk Management meetings (ORMs).
