As a Commissioning Project Manager in our Washington, DC office, you will help us empower our clients to verify that building systems perform to design intent and deliver long term value.

Requirements

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or Sustainability Management from an ABET accredited program.
  • LEED AP Building Operations and Maintenance Certification.
  • Qualified Commissioning Process Provider Certificate (QCxP).
  • Project Management Professional Certification.
  • 10+ years of experience in a consulting environment commissioning building systems or leading commissioning projects across MEP disciplines.
  • Successful management of large and complex projects for sophisticated client’s healthcare, laboratory, infrastructure, higher education, mission critical, industrial, or R&D facilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership on projects and with staff.
  • Long history of very satisfied clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commissioning projects across diverse market sectors, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget performance.
  • Lead and coordinate commissioning activities for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and other critical building systems.
  • Develop and manage commissioning plans, specifications, schedules, and reports.
  • Facilitate communication among owners, designers, contractors, and vendors to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
  • Oversee functional performance testing and documentation, ensuring compliance with design, and industry standards.
  • Serve as projects primary client contact, building strong relationships and delivering a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Mentor and support staff on commissioning procedures, best practices, and professional growth.
