About The Position

The Commissioning Manager at Anaergia will lead a team of commissioning engineers and mentor junior engineers. This role involves preparing commissioning schedules and resources for all projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and managing subcontractor activities. The Commissioning Manager will also be responsible for producing risk assessments, managing multiple concurrent projects, and ensuring that all commissioning activities are completed on time and within budget.

Requirements

  • Holds a technical diploma or graduation in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Technician or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as Commissioning Engineer/Manager in the Industrial Plant business.
  • Deep understanding of managing contracts for supplying complex plants.
  • Specialty in control systems, networks, programming PLCs, and development of SCADA systems.
  • Skilled in understanding technical drawings, documents, and specifications.
  • Knowledgeable in construction codes and regulations.
  • Experienced in training resources on safety and technical matters.
  • Experienced in managing relationships with customers.
  • Ability to manage detailed job schedules.
  • Some experience in purchasing is required.
  • Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of commissioning engineers and mentor junior commissioning engineers.
  • Prepare the commissioning scheduling and resourcing for all projects at the commissioning stage.
  • Prepare, meet, and improve the commissioning schedule, budget, quality standards, and SOPs.
  • Ensure planning, coordination, and cooperation between subcontractors and vendors on site.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards during the start-up and commissioning phase.
  • Fulfill reporting requirements with reliable data and within deadlines.
  • Ensure all equipment supplied by Anaergia and plant functional tests are completed.
  • Ensure relevant documentation is in place and correct procedures are followed.
  • Coordinate training and ensure training programs are completed as specified.
  • Produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for commissioning activities.
  • Review RAMS of subcontractor commissioning or remedial work.
  • Manage activities of subcontract commissioning teams.
  • Report non-conformance issues to the Director of Project Management.
  • Update drawings and operational documentation to reflect changes made during commissioning.
  • Ensure Site Acceptance Tests (SATs) are completed and defects recorded.
