The company, which is part of DeCarbon Technologies segment of thyssenkrupp, has extensive in-depth knowledge in the engineering, procurement, and construction of electrochemical plants and a strong history of more than 600 projects with a total rating of over 10 gigawatts already successfully installed. Utilizing the over 50 years of experience in Chlor Alkali field as foundation, the company is expanding to the field of water electrolysis technology to produce green hydrogen in an innovative way on an industrial scale for green value chains and an industry fueled by clean energy – a major step towards climate-neutrality. Role Overview: We are seeking a motivated Commissioning Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support the commissioning of our electrolysis technologies. You will gain hands-on experience in assembly, production processes, and project commissioning while working closely with teams across engineering, manufacturing, and operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Process or related field) or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute to team projects.
- Willingness to travel for project support as needed. (Expected travel 30% of time)
- Must have driver's license
Nice To Haves
- Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing, production, or commissioning is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support supervision of the cell assembly process and commissioning for chlorine alkali and green hydrogen technology, including necessary documentation.
- Assist in the development of inspection specifications, procedure setup, and supply chain processes.
- Participate in commissioning activities for new projects, ensuring systems are tested and operational.
- Support budget tracking, CAPEX/OPEX reporting, and operational planning for commissioning.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure quality, performance, and timely delivery of equipment and service.
- Contribute to team development by sharing knowledge and learning from experienced engineers.
