About The Position

Mechanical Commissioning Engineer Praetorian Power Protection, the leader in NETA testing and staff augmentation to the mission critical industry, is searching for a strong Commissioning Engineer with Mechanical experience for our data center site in Huntsville, AL. This role is critical to ensuring the successful commissioning of mechanical systems for our projects. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Commissioning Engineer with a focus in mechanical
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, and industrial equipment.
  • Proven ability to manage commissioning processes from planning to completion.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ASME, ANSI).
  • Must be able to work nights on-site in Huntsville, AL
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in the construction of hyperscale datacenters is a huge plus
  • Experience with commissioning software or tools (e.g., CxAlloy, BIM 360).
  • Knowledge of control systems and integration with mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and oversee the commissioning of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Perform testing, troubleshooting, and validation of mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to meet project milestones and deadlines.
  • Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation, including reports, checklists, and schedules.
  • Ensure systems are fully operational and meet performance requirements before handover.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize project delays.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety on-site.
