Requirements

Technical College Degree/Diploma
At least 10 years of technical experience
A technical and working knowledge of design and construction codes such as API, NEC, CEC, CSA Z662, NFPA 11, etc.
With ability to lead and/or coordinate work with diverse groups and individual personalities as appropriate (project team, internal and external stakeholders, customers and contractors)Preferred:.

Nice To Haves

Previous commissioning experience in oil & gas industry is an asset
Hands on experience with rotating and static equipment

Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall coordination of project commissioning and start-up deliverables to ensure that equipment is ready for operation.
Focus is on planning, managing budgets and deficiencies, and interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
Coordination of field commissioning activities is necessary , with a focus on hands-on execution expertise. This requires prior experience working as a technician or engineer in the field, along with the ability to perform self-commissioning tasks.
Provide support on technical issues identified through the commissioning phase of projects and use technical expertise to resolve these issues.
Works with project teams, construction, and operations to ensure issues are defined and resolved to ensure equipment is safe and reliable to operate
Has strong understanding of Industry safety practices, including permitting, Lock-Out-Tag-Out and Electrical Safety
Has strategic accountability to nurture and sustain effective relationships and performance by field services contractors.
Provide direction, guidance and influence over a specialized commissioning group.
