About The Position

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Commissioning Compliance and Readiness Manager in Manassas, Virginia. The Commissioning Compliance and Readiness Manager supports the Power Systems Commissioning team by ensuring all compliance, training, documentation, and readiness processes are properly established, maintained, and followed throughout project execution in data center environments. In this role, the Commissioning Compliance and Readiness Manager works closely with Commissioning Managers, Project Managers, Customer Site CM’s, and General Contractors to assist with initial site visits, document site-specific compliance requirements, and verify personnel access prior to mobilization.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years construction, or related industry experience
  • Experience leading others in achieving environmental, health, and safety program excellence on a company level
  • OSHA 30 certification, or ability to achieve full certification in the first 60 days or employment
  • Understanding of common job site safety practices
  • Experience in data center commissioning, construction, or industrial safety environments
  • Familiarity with commissioning or industrial tooling
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in computer-based technology
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Requires strong organizational skills
  • Must have an excellent driving record
  • Extensive travel within Carter Machinery’s geographical footprint as well as remote regions required

  • Frequently sitting for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus
