We’re seeking a talented Commissioning Agent to join our rapidly growing Commissioning (Cx) group. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred)
  • Certified Commissioning Authority (ACG) or Certified Commissioning Professional (BCA), or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • 10+ years of experience in commissioning documentation and field testing
  • Functional knowledge of building systems across disciplines (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, controls, lighting, etc.)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and NewForma
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Project management experience preferred

Nice To Haves

  • LEED GA or AP (desirable but not required)
  • Project management experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead, plan, and coordinate commissioning activities across all phases of a project—from design through post-construction.
  • Perform design reviews
  • Develop commissioning documentation
  • Conduct field testing to ensure systems meet owner requirements and design intent.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and submittals for compliance with owner requirements and sustainability goals
  • Identify design issues related to operability, maintainability, and code compliance
  • Coordinate commissioning tasks with construction schedules
  • Develop detailed pre-functional and functional test plans
  • Conduct field testing and diagnose minor controls or operational issues
  • Document issues and track resolution across all project phases
  • Prepare commissioning reports and assist in developing O&M manuals
  • Support project certification documentation when required
  • Manage commissioning projects involving multiple trades
  • Communicate clearly with internal and external teams to maintain positive relationships
  • Deliver projects on time and under budget while maintaining quality standards
