We are currently seeking a performance-driven, motivated Mechanical Commissioning Agent III. This role will be based out of Charlotte, NC. You will demonstrate your engineering skills and by leveraging the firm’s technology centric competitive edge you will work with design engineers, vendors, contractors, and client personnel to design, test, make operational, optimize, and validate Electrical systems in multiple 24x7 mission critical plants, pharmaceutical, healthcare, power generation or similar environments. Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate functional testing of multi-stack equipment and multi-redundant system configurations within a trade.
  • Review criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and other documentation pertinent to commissioning.
  • Develop and coordinate Commissioning Plans, consistent with ASHRAE Guideline O format.
  • Provide a peer review level of feedback on design criteria, specifications, drawings, and equipment submittals.
  • Lead commissioning efforts with multiple trades and client management involvement.
  • Create Operating Procedures and Technical instruction material.
  • Oversee 1 - 2 engineers on projects reporting to them.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or required years of experience.
  • A minimum of 4 years of field experience in hands-on testing, validation, and troubleshooting of large Mechanical systems.
  • 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in the MEP field.
  • Possesses a basic understanding of proper system selection.
  • Exhibits a basic understanding of the practical application of LEED principles to building designs.
  • Exhibits a thorough understanding of applicable codes.
  • Experience with ASHRAE, BCxA, and/or PECI Cx and RETRO-Cx procedures and protocols, a plus.
  • EIT/FE required.
