The Dallas Independent School District (DISD) is seeking a dedicated and professional Commissioned Security Officer for the 2024-2025 school year. Candidates must be at least 21 years of age and possess a High School Diploma or GED. A Texas Department of Public Safety Level III Security License is required, along with a willingness to undergo a criminal background check, psychological exam, medical exam, and drug screening. The ability to perform responsibilities with minimal supervision is essential, as is the capacity to de-escalate conflict situations. Knowledge of relevant security equipment and strategies is necessary to ensure effective school security operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, and must be computer literate. Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred, enhancing the officer's ability to interact with a diverse school community.
