About The Position

We are seeking Full -Time Commissary Kitchen Staff to join our commissary kitchen in College Point - Queens, NY, with a passion for sweet and delicious creations. Our staff produces 150,000 cookies weekly. A candidate with experience in a high-volume production kitchen is preferred. The job will require bulk scaling recipes, mixing cookie dough on heavy duty machinery, scooping large quantities of cookies and washing cookie bins. This role will report to the Production Manager and partners with the Assistant Production Manager.

Requirements

Experienced in a high-volume production facility as a Commissary Kitchen Staff or relevant role
Occasional weekend availability
High attention to detail and creativity
Ability to navigate a commercial kitchen, stockroom, office, and lift up to 50 lbs. several times a day, with or without reasonable accommodation
Experienced with a commercial kitchen and equipment
Ability to work in a hot and damp environment
Must be willing to complete Food Handlers Certification

Culinary Arts education a plus!

Responsibilities

Prepares high-volume of goods following set recipes
Quality checks raw goods, prepared goods, and commercial equipment
Monitors inventory for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar, etc. and ensure orders are placed if necessary
Maintain a clean and orderly workstation and adheres to health and safety standards with dish washing
Preps, loads and unloads trays, mixer bowls, utensils into industrial dishwashers
Supports with washing and cleaning work areas, industrial kitchen equipment, refrigerators, walls, and floors
Oversees trash and recycling; takes to dumpster area when required
Supports with receiving and processing deliveries
Maintains a high-level of cleanliness and organization in the bakery
Provides scheduling flexibility according to business needs
