About The Position

The Commissary Cold Room Production Leader Deli is responsible for supervising the production of cold room items for all company-owned convenience stores. This role involves ensuring operational efficiency and quality in line production, while adhering to safety and quality standards set by the company. The leader will assist in achieving income and expense budgets, conduct daily protein/allergen swabbing, and ensure compliance with food safety laws. The position also includes responsibilities for facility maintenance, product ordering, training associates, and ensuring production goals are met.

Requirements

• Two to four years of retail/restaurant management experience.
• BS/AS degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Culinary Arts degree preferred.
• Effective communication skills to present information and receive information from suppliers.
• Ability to work with and apply math concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.
• State issued driver's license, ServSafe or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise commissary prepared Cold Room production for all company owned and operated convenience stores.
• Ensure finished products meet quality and safety standards set by the company.
• Assist commissary leadership with achieving income and expense budgets.
• Conduct daily protein/allergen swabbing to identify potential risks.
• Assist in developing and adjusting swabbing program to ensure its continued effectiveness.
• Ensure the commissary complies with all federal, state, and local laws concerning food safety and labeling.
• Follow all standard operating practices as set by the Spinx Company for the production facility.
• Be responsible and accountable for the commissary facility, its sanitation, physical image, maintenance, equipment, and inventory.
• Order products to meet production needs.
• Ensure all commissary associates are trained in company/commissary policies and procedures.
• Ensure daily production is efficiently produced to meet production and labor goals.
• Be responsible for quality and accuracy of all prepared items and orders shipped from the facility.
• Assist with producing daily production schedules.
• Ensure daily completion of all reports e.g., receiving logs, cleaning logs, temperature logs.
• Attend weekly Commissary leadership meetings.
• Handle additional special projects as assigned.
• Be available to work nights and weekends due to the nature of production.
