The Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager at HUB International is responsible for supporting Account Managers and Producers in servicing assigned accounts. This role involves preparing and processing various insurance-related documents, providing quality customer service, and maintaining accurate records, all while adhering to company policies and procedures.

  • Prepares, reviews, and processes all transactions, correspondence, and documents for assigned accounts, including applications, billing policies, certificates, endorsements, invoices, and proposals.
  • Participates in the renewal preparation process by generating renewal updates on specified accounts.
  • Provides quality customer service to clients, team members, and carriers.
  • Communicates with company personnel regarding client needs and issues.
  • Maintains an accurate suspense system on all items requiring a response.
  • Navigates and utilizes carrier websites to obtain necessary documents and information.
  • Fields phone calls from insureds regarding coverage questions, changes, payments, and cancellations.
  • Responsible for scanning communications and documents.
  • Inputs and maintains data on account management and ancillary systems as required.
  • Provides mailroom and switchboard support when needed.
  • Performs other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • At least one year of insurance experience strongly preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain state insurance license P&C within 90 days of employment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Detail-oriented self-starter.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Significant skill in handling competing demands and projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize and delegate responsibility.
