The GE Appliances Commercial Year-Round Co-op Program provides students with the opportunity to work with experienced and inspiring leaders to accomplish business objectives in our Marketing, Sales, and Owner Channel organizations. This program offers part-time work experience (between 20-25 hrs/week) during Fall & Spring school semesters, with potential for increased hours in the Summer. Majority of positions are located in Louisville, KY; with limited remote opportunities. Upon strong performance, co-ops will have the ability to interview for a full-time position post-graduation in our Commercial Development Program. Commercial co-op assignments, generally year-long assignments, vary in terms of the types of work required. Team assignments may include: Retail or Contract National Account Sales, Direct Sales, Owner Channel, eCommerce, Lead Generation, Parts Sales, Marketing & Brand, Consumer Insights (data-analytics skills needed), Sales Operations, Training, Pricing Analytics, among other teams. Skillset needed may vary by role; however, students must possess the following competencies to succeed: Independent Contribution: Demonstrates the ability to work effectively and efficiently, delivering consistent results in an environment where work is closely supervised Self-Motivated: Achieves established goals, prioritizes continuous learnings by seeking new challenges and exhibits a can-do attitude. Problem Solving: Proficient at addressing routine challenges, with the capability to interpret work direction as well as pivot when necessary. Adaptability: Can make minor adjustments to work methods as needed, showcasing flexibility and responsiveness to changing requirements. Communication: Ability to speak clear and concise, have awareness of tone, practice active listening and adapt based on audience. Co-ops will have exposure to key Commercial leaders at GE Appliances as well as attend various professional development sessions. As we continue to build out our talent pipeline, we are primarily looking for rising Sophomores and Juniors. This role does not offer housing or relocation benefits.
