About The Position

Mercedes Benz of West Chester, a Hudson Automotive Company, is actively seeking a Commercial Vehicle Collision Repair Specialist to join our award-winning, high-volume service team. This position offers up to $120k per year earning potential with production bonuses. The facility is a Rivian Certified Collision Center and features a brand new state-of-the-art environment. Hudson Automotive Group, founded in 1948, is a third-generation, family-owned and operated business proudly serving customers with all their automotive needs. Requirements

  • 5+ years collision technician experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
  • Repairs collision damaged vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
  • Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.
  • Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
  • Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials and reports any deviations to management.
  • Documents all work performed on the repair order.
  • Road tests vehicles when required or refers to the test technician.
  • Supervises work of any apprentice technicians as assigned.
  • Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Keeps shop area neat and clean.
  • Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.
  • Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.
  • Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
