COMMERCIAL TRUCK DRIVER REQUIREMENTS FOR HIRING PURPOSES Per our insurance provider, all truck drivers must meet the following requirements to be insured and hired using standard processing: Minimum age of 23 years Two (2) years current experience with similar equipment Prefer two or less minor violations or accidents in the past three years Any violations/accidents beyond two would need to be reviewed by the insurance company and treated as an exception to standard and be processed with a special request to be eligible to hire. In addition to the above, company policy is no major violations of any kind are allowed, and these would include: All alcohol or drug related offenses Leaving the scene of an accident Driving while license is suspended or revoked Reckless, negligent, or careless driving Speeding in excess of 20 mph over the posted limit Driving 85 mph or greater Texting (unless the MVR clearly states it was in a personal vehicle) Other serious violations not listed, for example, hit & run or manslaughter
