About The Position

Ring's End, Inc. of Branford, CT is hiring a full-time Commercial Truck Driver (CDL B Required) to distribute our items. Ring's End is a Connecticut-based lumber and building materials retailer serving Connecticut, South County, Rhode Island, and Westchester County, New York. As a Commercial Truck Driver, you will be the individual who transports building materials in a timely manner along your designated route. You will serve as an ambassador, checking in with clients on their experience with the service and handling any concerns with care. Responsibilities include carefully loading or unloading building materials to ensure items are kept intact, ensuring each delivery reaches the correct destination, and positively representing the company at each stop. You will also be conscientious about keeping all necessary paperwork up-to-date and maintaining vehicles and equipment. Furthermore, you are expected to be a competent and dependable driver who navigates the roads with the utmost concern for safety.

Requirements

  • Product knowledge
  • Ability to meet physical requirements like lifting heavy items and/or using a forklift
  • CDL Class B license
  • Clean driving record
  • Compliant with all safety and Department of Transportation rules and regulations
  • Attentive
  • Love driving
  • Organized and reliable
  • Good communicator, both verbal and written
  • Excellent customer service skills

Responsibilities

  • Transport building materials in a timely manner along your designated route
  • Check-in with clients on their experience with our service and handle any and all concerns with care
