About The Position

Waste Control, a Waste Connections company, is hiring a Local Class A CDL Tractor-Trailer Driver to join the team in Longview, Washington! This is a local long-haul trucking position pulling a 53-foot trailer with garbage and other live loads, from the Transfer station and Mills up to Headquarters Road Landfill for disposal. The schedule will be Monday – Friday 5:15am to 4:15 pm with Overtime often. Starting Rate of pay is $28.00/hr. Requirements

Valid Class A CDL with air brakes endorsement.
Must have no restrictions and be able to drive interstate and Manual Transmission.
Minimum 1+ years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Working knowledge of D.O.T. laws
Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Ability to Operate and maneuver Tractor trailer hauling a 53’ Foot Trailer.
Ability to read route sheets or Tablet and service each customer identified or assigned by the dispatcher.
Perform Daily Pre-trip and Post-Trip inspections on vehicles. Such as checking fluids, safety equipment, lights and tire pressure.
Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Ability to work a physically demanding job.
Willingness to submit to and pass background check and pre-employment drug screening test
Ability to read, write and comprehend reports to complete daily assignments
