I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to kickstart a career in fintech.” — Finance Intern Department environment Copper’s Commercial team comprises functions that engage with our institutional clients to introduce new products and features, provide market color, model and enable financing solutions, and share client feedback to inform our product development in-line with the firm’s growth and competitive advantage. As a team, our mandate focuses on identifying opportunities to originate new business and growing a portfolio of existing accounts, in partnership with cross-functional teams. The team is charged with leading initiatives to foster innovation, drive competitive commercial partnerships, and implement organizational change while working with various departments to align their goals with the firm’s overall strategy. Role Purpose We’re looking for a talented individual to join our Commercial team for an unforgettable 8-week internship. As one of our interns, you will bring your own unique perspective as a learner, together with your academic knowledge, technical skills, and enthusiasm, and will gain a comprehensive introduction to our business. As an intern, you will rotate through several teams, including Sales, Relationship Management, and Client Solutions, while collaborating with teams across Financial Risk, Client Onboarding, and Legal as key stakeholders in the client lifecycle. Our goal is for interns to come away with a unique understanding of our clients’ needs and the value proposition that Copper creates through outstanding client service and product capabilities. In addition to learning on the job, Copper interns will participate in professional development sessions, company social events, and networking opportunities with senior leadership. Requirements

  • Currently in your second year at university or a year before graduation, completing a Degree Course
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office package.

Responsibilities

  • Successful candidates will spend 8 weeks with the Commercial team rotating across several groups in the summer months. In this time, you will be learning from experienced professionals about institutional market structure, client service, and tailored products offered to Copper clients.
  • Supporting the Commercial teams to grow business through independent and collaborative projects which may include;
  • Analyzing data for trends and opportunities
  • Creating proposals and presentations for prospective clients
  • Drafting market commentary
  • Tracking progress for product campaign and partnership campaigns
  • Proposing procedural improvements
  • Producing competitor analysis
