The ideal Commercial Service Plumbing Technician: Ability to successfully diagnose and repair commercial service plumbing needs. Driven to help customers maintain efficient plumbing systems that support daily business operations. Skilled communicated that educates and helps customers to make informed and confident buying decisions. Willingness to always go above and beyond with customer service. Comfortable using mobile devices or service software for job documentation and communication.
Requirements
- Experience working on commercial plumbing systems such as multi-story buildings, restaurants, or industrial facilities.
- Strong proficiency in performing advanced diagnostics on water heaters and boilers.
- Comprehensive knowledge of installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing pipes and fittings.
- Able to work independently and manage time effectively, with a focus on completing work correctly the first time.
- Proficiency in utilizing required equipment such as drain machines, jetters, and related tools.
- Knowledge of selecting the most appropriate plumbing materials for each job based on budget, application, and location.
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions provided by managers and leadership.
- Excellent customer service skills when working with customers and internal office staff.
- All candidates are required to undergo a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Candidates applying for the Lead Commercial Service Plumbing Technician job must have a valid driver's license.
Nice To Haves
- Backflow certification preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Ability to clear drains and install plumbing pipes and fixtures, including sinks and toilets, for water, sewer, and gas systems.
- Assemble fittings and valves for successful installation; able to make modifications as needed.
- Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in company vehicles.
- Organize and document all equipment and materials needed for each scheduled job.
- Effectively communicate with customers to explain work performed and support informed decision-making.
- Strong attention to detail with accurate documentation of all work performed.
- Builds positive client relationships that drive customer loyalty and satisfaction.
- Ability to identify hazards and follow proper lockout/tagout and safety procedures when required.
