About The Position

We are a growing, customer-focused dealership committed to providing high-quality commercial vehicles and outstanding service. We are seeking a driven and relationship-oriented Commercial Salesperson to join our team and expand our commercial and fleet sales division. The Automotive Commercial Salesperson is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with local businesses, contractors, municipalities, and fleet accounts to drive commercial vehicle sales. This role requires strong prospecting skills, excellent communication, and the ability to build long-term partnerships.

Requirements

  • Previous automotive sales experience preferred (commercial or fleet sales a plus)
  • Strong B2B sales experience highly valued
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and generate new commercial and fleet accounts through cold calls, networking, and referrals
  • Maintain and grow existing business relationships
  • Conduct needs assessments to recommend appropriate commercial vehicles and upfits
  • Present pricing, financing, and leasing options
  • Coordinate with finance, service, and parts departments to ensure seamless delivery
  • Stay informed on manufacturer incentives, commercial programs, and inventory availability
  • Track activities and customer interactions in CRM
  • Meet and exceed monthly and annual sales goals
  • Represent the dealership at local business events and networking functions
  • Other duties as assigned by management
