About The Position

This position is responsible for, but not limited to the sale of all compact construction equipment (CCE), mid ag, and hay equipment distributed by Tellus. Responsible for developing partnerships with current and potential clients to grow Tellus Equipment Solutions’ market share. Works with customers and potential customers to provide solutions to their equipment needs. Promotes JD equipment products to customers in their assigned territory. Interacts with existing and prospective customers to demonstrate products and explain features. Responsible for all sales activities from lead generation through closing the sale. Monitors market conditions, competitor’s products and pricing. Provides on-site expertise for demonstrations, machine inspections and technical support Executes an effective whole goods marketing strategy (Government related Direct mail, website content and events) Coordinate with all internal departments to ensure complete customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • 3+ years equipment sales experience
  • Experience with software applications such as Microsoft Office
  • Ability to present and negotiate exceptionally well
  • Basic knowledge of equipment financing and accounting.
  • Versatile and enthusiastic with high energy and exceptionally self-motivated to succeed
  • Ability to travel territory assigned using company truck and trailer where necessary
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with John Deere and competitive products preferred
  • Experience with utilizing John Deere systems preferred.
