Location: Remote US/USA (preferred locations between Philadelphia, PA to Columbia, MD) Summary: As a Commercial Sales Trainer, you will support the growth and performance of commercial sales teams through hands-on field coaching, structured training, and close partnership with sales leadership. This role focuses on strengthening core selling skills, supporting complex deal execution, developing effective sales tools, and leading teams through periods of change . 50% Travel is required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in commercial B2B sales, preferably within security, fire, access control, or video solutions. Monitored video solutions a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting bids, RFPs, and formal proposal processes.
  • Strong background in field-based sales coaching and skill development.
  • Proven ability to support and lead teams through organizational, process, and system change.
  • Ability to design and deliver effective training tools and presentations for field use.
  • Strong understanding of commercial sales cycles, from prospecting through close.
  • Ability to explain technical solutions in clear, customer-focused language.
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems and sales tools.
  • Strong communication skills and professional leadership presence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide field-based coaching during prospecting, site walks, customer meetings, and proposal reviews.
  • Deliver practical sales training for new hires and tenured reps, including onboarding, product education, and sales process reinforcement.
  • Coach sales professionals on consultative selling, solution design, communicating ROI, and value-based positioning.
  • Support sales teams in bidding, RFP response, and competitive positioning for complex commercial opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain sales tools, training materials, and presentations that support consistent field execution.
  • Lead and support change management initiatives, including adoption of new systems, processes, and offerings.
  • Reinforce consistent sales process execution, pipeline hygiene, and forecasting discipline.
  • Partner with sales leadership and operations to align training efforts with business objectives.
  • Travel regularly to support multiple branches or regions.
