About The Position

The B2B Leader will be responsible for connecting and engaging with new and existing Commercial Customers inside the store at the Contractor Counter which will be designed, merchandised and signed to appeal to our Commercial customers.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as being comfortable talking with internal and external customers in any setting.
  • Deep understanding of retail operations, inventory management and business fundamentals.
  • Refined interpersonal skills to engage with others, solid negotiating and conflict resolutions abilities.
  • Able to foster teamwork and collaboration.
  • Can motivate others both internal and external to perform enthusiastically.
  • Comfortable with computers, various applications, technology, the internet.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and follow up.
  • Excellent PC skills including knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Make sales to Commercial customers inside the store and ensure they are correctly rung out through the Contractor cash register.
  • Maintain daily contact with multiple customer account contacts via email, phone and in person.
  • Coach, lead and train cashiers and in aisle associates to identify and properly engage with Commercial Customers to highlight our value proposition of service, value and our overall capabilities.
  • In partnership with the General Manager, take the lead in merchandising, ordering and stocking product which is in demand by our Commercial Customers.
  • Make product stocking recommendations based on communications with Commercial Customers regarding their current and future needs.
  • Use reporting of sales and customer data to identify and target specific customers who represent opportunity for sales growth.
  • Apply general product knowledge to discuss the needs of a wide variety of commercial customer types.
  • Sourcing and locating product within our stable of vendors or go outside in partnership with the Commercial Sourcing Manager to order in and maintain stock of items in demand.
  • Facilitate and participate in training for all in-store associates to understand and to drive Commercial Sales within the store.
