About The Position

Eskola, LLC’s Houston, Texas branch is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team as a Commercial Roofing Waterproofing Laborer! This person will assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial roofing and waterproofing systems. This position involves working on a variety of roofing materials and systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols. The Laborer works under the supervision of the Foreman and other crew leaders to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in commercial roofing, waterproofing, or construction is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic with a focus on punctuality and reliability.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction equipment.
  • Commitment to safety and a willingness to learn OSHA safety standards.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening as a condition of hire.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record that meets company and insurance requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with specific commercial roofing systems (e.g., TPO, PVC, or EPDM) or waterproofing materials is a plus.
  • Aerial Lift and Forklift certified
  • First Aid & CPR certified
  • OSHA 10 or 30 Hour card
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is preferred
  • Experience working in a fast-paced commercial roofing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial roofing systems (TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, etc.) and waterproofing solutions.
  • Carry and transport roofing materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
  • Prepare and clean work areas, ensuring the site is free of hazards and debris.
  • Lay roofing materials, apply adhesives, or assist in heat-welding seams under the direction of the Foreman or Lead.
  • Operate basic tools and equipment such as cutters, rollers, and roofing torches.
  • Ensure materials are used efficiently to minimize waste.
  • Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Assist in setting up and tearing down scaffolding, ladders, and safety harness systems.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure proper installation and sealing of roofing and waterproofing systems.
  • Report any issues or potential problems to the Foreman promptly.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
