About The Position

Eskola, LLC’s Houston, Texas branch is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team as a Commercial Roofing Waterproofing Laborer! This person will assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial roofing and waterproofing systems. This position involves working on a variety of roofing materials and systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols. The Laborer works under the supervision of the Foreman and other crew leaders to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.

Requirements

Previous experience in commercial roofing, waterproofing, or construction is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Strong work ethic with a focus on punctuality and reliability.
Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction equipment.
Commitment to safety and a willingness to learn OSHA safety standards.
Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening as a condition of hire.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record that meets company and insurance requirements.

Nice To Haves

Experience with specific commercial roofing systems (e.g., TPO, PVC, or EPDM) or waterproofing materials is a plus.
Aerial Lift and Forklift certified
First Aid & CPR certified
OSHA 10 or 30 Hour card
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is preferred
Experience working in a fast-paced commercial roofing environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial roofing systems (TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, etc.) and waterproofing solutions.
Carry and transport roofing materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
Prepare and clean work areas, ensuring the site is free of hazards and debris.
Lay roofing materials, apply adhesives, or assist in heat-welding seams under the direction of the Foreman or Lead.
Operate basic tools and equipment such as cutters, rollers, and roofing torches.
Ensure materials are used efficiently to minimize waste.
Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Assist in setting up and tearing down scaffolding, ladders, and safety harness systems.
Conduct quality checks to ensure proper installation and sealing of roofing and waterproofing systems.
Report any issues or potential problems to the Foreman promptly.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
