About The Position

We are looking for Commercial Roofing Supervisor to fill an opening immediately in Sarasota, FL. The qualified Commercial Roofing Supervisor will have experience managing staff, meeting with business-owners and homeowners regularly to conduct sales and business transactions, a customer service focus in their work, and ability to interact professionally with customers. The qualified candidate will be able to start all jobs with meeting with homeowner/ business-owner, pick up or order all materials for job, perform quality control on all jobs.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Pass a background check
  • Construction/roofing industry experience preferred
  • 2+ years experience in commercial roofing (repairs, production, or sales)
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and computer data entry
  • Former experience managing staff/personnel
  • Prior experience with meeting clients and prospects face to face
  • Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Must be able to climb ladder safely, access various roof types (flat, low-slope, steep/inclined), and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to travel to job sites as required
  • Willingness to work long hours during busy season
  • Ability to work 2 Saturdays a month March-November and 1 Saturday a month November-March
  • Ability to pull a trailer behind a work truck
  • Military service is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule daily and weekly work activities to ensure timely project completion
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Inspect work in progress to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications, manufacturer specifications, and building codes
  • Maintain accurate records of labor, materials, and progress
  • Identify and resolve issues that may delay work or affect quality
  • Conduct regular safety meetings
  • Manage and maintain equipment, maintenance, and logistics on-site
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for clients and inspectors
