About The Position

ABC Supply, the nation’s largest distributor of exterior building products, is seeking an experienced, motivated Commercial Roofing Specialist. In this role, you will drive sales through lead generation of upcoming commercial roofing projects, assist in the estimating process for our customers, and facilitating takeoffs. This position will enhance the service we provide to our customers while taking our sales to the next level. Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in commercial roofing sales/ low-slope roofing & estimating
  • Familiar with EPDM, TPO, PVC, Mod-Bit
  • A solid understanding of commercial roofing products and procedures
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience with estimating software
  • Experience with takeoffs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and self starting

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Taper+ and StackCT estimating software preferred
  • Experience with standing seam metal roofing preferred

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales through lead generation of upcoming commercial roofing projects
  • Assist in the estimating process for our customers
  • Facilitating takeoffs
  • Utilizing resources, such as construction reports, to learn when commercial construction projects are coming to bid
  • Interpreting and reading blue prints
  • Completing estimating duties and facilitating takeoffs through Tapered Solutions
  • Maintaining current pricing from the manufacturers
  • Using expert application, installation and product knowledge to successfully meet goals
  • Maintaining and conveying all relevant competitive sales knowledge directly to management
  • Making recommendations and working closely with the Branch Manager to ensure acceptable margin levels
  • Utilizing lead generation programs to identify potential projects by market
  • Maintaining upcoming bid lists
  • Cultivating customer relationships and industry contacts within the market
