About The Position

The Commercial Roofing Foreman at D. C. Taylor Co. is responsible for leading a crew of up to 10 roof technicians in various roofing projects, ensuring that work is performed safely and meets both customer and company standards. This role encompasses all aspects of roofing, including installation, repair, and maintenance, primarily focusing on TPO, PVC, modified bitumen, and EPDM roofing systems. The foreman is also tasked with overseeing the installation of roof-related sheet metal components and fostering a culture of safety and teamwork within the crew.

Requirements

• Prior experience running projects and managing crew personnel.
• 4 years of commercial roofing field experience or formal technical training.
• Current valid driver's license.
• Ability to use/learn business technology.
• Fluency in English.
• Capable of working at elevations and performing strenuous activities related to roofing.

Nice To Haves

• OSHA 30-hour certification.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew of up to 10 roof technicians in roofing projects.
• Ensure safe and productive work that meets customer and company standards.
• Oversee all aspects of roofing from tear-off to repair and maintenance.
• Manage assigned crew, materials, equipment, and administrative work.
• Examine roofs and penetrations to plan jobs and allocate work strategically.
• Conduct regular meetings with crew personnel to discuss safety, project progress, and schedules.
• Ensure quality installation according to specifications and plans.
• Perform installation duties as necessary and solve field application problems with minimal supervision.
• Deliver excellent customer service and ensure job site compliance with safety guidelines.
• Perform daily inspections of job site, equipment, and PPE.
