About The Position

As a Commercial Roofing Foreman, you’ll play a key leadership role in the daily operations of our roofing crews. You’ll lead by example, overseeing project execution, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and mentoring team members to deliver top-quality work. This is a hands-on, field-based position ideal for an experienced roofing professional who takes pride in craftsmanship, communication, and teamwork. You’ll work closely with project managers, superintendents, and clients to ensure that every job is done right — on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of commercial roofing experience.
  • Proven expertise installing and maintaining BUR, Modified Bitumen, EPDM, TPO, PVC, and metal roof systems.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide crews.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
  • Excellent safety record and deep knowledge of roofing safety procedures.
  • Willingness to work 8–12 hour shifts, including weekends as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • 5–10 years of commercial roofing experience.
  • Familiarity with multiple roofing manufacturers’ procedures and inspection processes.
  • Experience with metal roof systems or specialty installations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and train roofing crews, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and respect.
  • Assign daily tasks, manage crew performance, and monitor progress on all phases of roof installation and repair.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings to reinforce proper procedures and hazard awareness.
  • Promote teamwork, professionalism, and adherence to company standards.
  • Oversee the installation and maintenance of commercial roofing systems, including BUR, Modified Bitumen, EPDM, TPO, PVC, and metal roofs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage materials, tools, and equipment on-site, minimizing waste and ensuring efficiency.
  • Monitor quality control and safety compliance throughout each project phase.
  • Enforce all safety regulations, PPE usage, and fall protection protocols.
  • Ensure work areas are safe, clean, and compliant with OSHA and company standards.
  • Report and document incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
  • Participate in ongoing OSHA and manufacturer training programs.
  • Complete daily reports and job documentation accurately and on time.
  • Communicate project updates and issues promptly to supervisors and project managers.
  • Track labor, materials, and equipment usage for cost control and reporting.
