About The Position

We are seeking a Commercial Roofing Estimator with at least 5 years of new construction estimating experience and a proven ability to manage large, complex projects ranging from $1 million to $20 million. The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and complete cost estimates for large-scale commercial roofing projects. This position requires deep technical knowledge of roofing systems, CAD drafting ability, and proficiency managing data across multiple CRM and bid platforms such as Building Connected, or Procore.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of commercial roofing estimating experience specific to new construction projects.
• Proven ability to estimate and manage bids for large-scale projects ($1M–$20M).
• Proficiency in estimating software—The EDGE is highly preferred, though other commercial roofing estimating programs may be considered.
• CAD experience required for creating submittal drawings and project documentation.
• Experience with Builder Connect, Building Connected, Procore, or other general contractor bid management portals.
• Experience managing and maintaining data within multiple CRM systems.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems, assemblies, and installation methods.
• Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings and specifications accurately.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• Demonstrated track record of accuracy, competitiveness, and professionalism in the bidding process.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and addenda to determine project scope and requirements.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs for commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified Bitumen, Built-Up, and Metal).
• Develop comprehensive cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
• Prepare and submit complete bid proposals and submittal packages, including CAD-based drawings and required documentation.
• Upload and manage bid and submittal data through GC platforms such as Builder Connect, Building Connected, and similar online bid systems.
• Maintain and track estimating and client data across multiple CRM databases.
• Identify project risks, cost-saving alternatives, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and turnover meetings as required.
• Collaborate closely with project management and field operations for successful handoffs.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with general contractors, suppliers, and manufacturers.
