About The Position
Empire Roofing Sunrise, a Tecta America company with over 35 years of experience, is a full-service provider specializing in commercial, industrial, and institutional roofing solutions. They offer expert roof replacement, repair, and maintenance across built-up roofing, modified bitumen, single-ply systems, and architectural metal roofing, and also deliver comprehensive building envelope solutions. This position is for an experienced commercial roofer in Sunrise, FL. The role involves working outdoors on a flat roof with roofing crews (teams of 5-20 people), requiring climbing ladders, bending, and working with different roofing techniques and tools. Onsite training is provided, with opportunities to advance as basics are mastered.
Requirements
- Enjoy working on a team outdoors with nature
- Be comfortable working in extreme weather conditions
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. regularly
- Repeated bending, climbing ladders, and kneeling
- Must be comfortable with heights and being on a roof
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to pass pre employment screening
- Must have three years of commercial roofing experience
Nice To Haves
- Drivers license preferred
- Knowledge of roof systems including BUR, Modified Bitumen, TPO, EPDM, PVC and slope (tile/shingles)
- Previous experience in residential and/or commercial roofing or construction is an advantage
