About The Position

The Retread Technician is responsible for performing retreading tasks on commercial truck tires as assigned by the Retread Plant Manager. Employees in this position will primarily be working inside the warehouse and must be focused on both safety and production quality.

Requirements

1-2 years of experience working in a warehouse environment
Dependable - Employee must be reliable, responsible and trustworthy, and complete all assigned obligations
Attention to Detail - Employee must be thorough in completing tasks and must always be aware of potential safety issues
Cooperation - Employee must be pleasant with others on the job and display a good-natured, cooperative attitude
Integrity - Employee is required to be honest and ethical
Communication - Employee must provide courteous and clear written and verbal communication with customers and co-workers

Responsibilities

Retread Technicians will be trained in Skiving
Retread Technicians will be trained in Filling Skives
Retread Technicians will be trained in Chamber (Mount/Load and Dismount/Unload)
Retread Technicians will be trained in Tire Repair
Retread Technicians will be trained in Material Handling
Retread Technicians will be trained in Tread Application
Retread Technicians will be trained in Chamber Operation
Retread Technicians will be trained in Initial Inspection
Retread Technicians will be trained in Final Inspection
Retread Technicians will be trained in Buffer/Builder Operation
Must be willing to be certified and maintain certification in the Bandag Master Craftsman Program and other Bandag certificate programs
Responsible for following all safety regulations, processes and procedures required by Parrish Tire Company, TIA, OSHA and NCDOL
Maintain high quality workmanship and inform the Plant Manager of production problems as they occur
Train personnel in specific areas assigned by manager
Keep the retread plant area clean to enhance a safe work environment
